With an impressive career spanning nearly two decades at Citi, Shamsa Al-Falasi has established herself as a seasoned banking professional. Her journey with Citi began in 2004 as a fresh graduate, and she has since gained extensive experience working in diverse locations such as Dublin, London, and São Paulo. She currently serves as Senior Business and Relationship Manager for the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey region, based in the UAE.
In 2015, Al-Falasi’s exceptional capabilities earned her the role of Head of the Global Subsidiaries Group (GSG) for the UAE and Iraq. Her responsibilities expanded in 2018 to include the GCC and Iraq, solidifying her reputation as a prominent figure in the banking industry.
At the start of 2023, Al-Falasi achieved a groundbreaking milestone by becoming the first female Chief Executive Officer of Citibank N.A. UAE Onshore.
