Citi Jordan Celebrates 50 Years with Distinguished Guests and Leadership.


Nour G. Jarrar CEO of Citi Jordan, marked the bank’s 50th anniversary on Sunday, an event that drew significant attention and honor with the presence of notable figures. Among the attendees were : H.E. Dr. Bisher Al-Khasawneh, Prime Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan; H.E. Dr. Dr Adel Al Sharkas Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan; and H.E. Yael Lempert, the US Ambassador to Jordan. Esteemed ministers, clients, and partners also participated in this momentous occasion.

Reflecting on her illustrious career, Ms. Jarrar has been at the helm of Citi Jordan since January 2018. She brings a wealth of experience in various banking sectors, including Corporate Banking, Trade Finance, Structured Finance, and Financial Institutions Management.

Before her tenure at Citibank Ms. Jarrar held a prominent position at Bank ABC in Jordan as the Head of the Wholesale Banking Group, where she worked since 2006. During her time there, she advanced through several senior roles, including Head of Global Trade Finance for the MENA region. Her earlier career also includes significant roles in the Economic Development Division of the Royal Hashemite Court and the Housing Bank for Trade Finance.

Ms. Jarrar holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Investment from the University of Nottingham in the UK, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Jordan. Additionally, she served as a director on the board of the Association of Banks in Jordan from 2018 to 2021 and is a board member of the American Chamber of commerce in Jordan.

As Citi Jordan celebrates its 50-year legacy, the leadership of Nour Jarrar continues to pave the way for future growth and innovation in the banking sector.
