Dalia Elbaz has been appointed Chairperson of Egypt Post in October 2024, marking a significant milestone as the first Egyptian woman to assume this prestigious position.
With over 30 years of experience in the banking sector, Elbaz is a seasoned leader recognized for her contributions to the financial industry. A graduate of The American University in Cairo, she holds a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics.
Elbaz began her career in 1995 at Barclays Bank Egypt, excelling in Corporate Banking and later leading the Operational Risk sector, where she established the Internal Control division. In 2008, she joined the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and steadily progressed, becoming Deputy Chairman in 2017.
Her leadership has not gone unnoticed. In 2024, Forbes named her one of the 100 Most Powerful Women Leaders in the Middle East, an honor she has received for two consecutive years.
As she steps into her new role at Egypt Post, Elbaz is poised to leverage her extensive experience and innovative approach to drive the organization forward.
