Hela Cheikhrouhou recently participated in the Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIIF), where she personally witnessed the impressive economic transformation and resilience of Uzbekistan. During a session at TIIF focused on investments in green energy in Uzbekistan and Central Asia, Ms. Cheikrouhou discussed various topics such as infrastructure development, the potential of surface geothermal energy, and regional cooperation to promote green energy initiatives.
In addition to her participation in the forum, Ms. Cheikrouhou had the opportunity to visit the Tashkent Dialysis Center. This center, which is Uzbekistan’s first public-private partnership in the health sector, is supported by the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
With 26 years of experience in leadership roles in the financial sector, infrastructure finance, and climate finance in emerging and developing economies, Ms. Cheikrouhou brings a wealth of knowledge to her position at the IFC – International Finance Corporation. Her work has spanned across Africa, Latin America, and Asia, focusing on areas such as low-emission and climate initiatives
