Yasemin Bedir has officially assumed her role as President of Mastercard’s Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (EEMEA) region, placing a woman executive at the helm of one of the global payments company’s largest and most strategically significant international businesses.
Effective September 1, Bedir now leads Mastercard’soperations across an 81-country region spanning Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Based in the UAE, she will oversee the company’s regional strategy and work closely with financial institutions, governments, fintech companies, retailers and businesses.

Yasemin Bedir brings nearly two decades of experience at Mastercard to the role. Before taking charge of the EEMEA region, she served as Division President for Eastern Europe and previously held leadership positions across Turkey, Azerbaijan and North America. Her appointment also places her on Mastercard’s Management Committee.
