A bridge between Arab capital and European expertise

The Arab Women in Banking and Finance Conference & Awards (AWIBFA) is a new one-day conference and awards gala launched by Woman Banker Magazine, in collaboration with banking sector leaders. Its first edition brings together leading women in banking and finance from the Arab world and Europe in Geneva.

Geneva, a neutral international financial centre, is home to over 100 foreign banks, at the heart of a Swiss market that books nearly a fifth of the world’s cross-border private wealth. It is a natural meeting point between Arab capital and European financial expertise.

Opening keynotes from Arab and Swiss banking leaders, six thematic panels, networking throughout the day and the AWIBFA Awards gala in the evening.

The AWIBFA Awards 2027

Fourteen categories recognising Arab women working in banking and finance, European women working for Arab financial institutions, and institutions advancing women in finance. Self-nominations and third-party nominations are welcome. Nominations close on 15 November 2026.
