Najla Al Shirawi A Leader in Investment Banking

Najla Al Shirawi boasts over 26 years of extensive experience in the investment banking sector. She became a key member of SICO BSC (C) in 1997 and took on the role of Chief Executive Officer in 2014, after serving as Deputy CEO the previous year.

Prior to her tenure at SICO BSC (C) Najla worked with the Geneva-based Dar Al-Maal Al-Islami Trust, where she played a pivotal role in launching private banking operations across the Gulf region.

In addition to her leadership at SICO, Najla serves on various boards, including the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB). She is the Chairperson for SICO Invest L.L.C. a subsidiary located in AbuDhabi, UAE, and acts as the Vice Chairperson of SICO Capital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, she holds positions as an Independent Board Member at Eskan Bank BSC(c) in Bahrain, and is involved with the Deposit Protection Scheme, the Future Generations Reserve Council, the Bahrain Association of Banks , Bahrain credit facilities, and the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF).

Najla holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the American College in London and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Bahrain reflecting her strong educational foundation that supports her impressive career.
